Customer Effort Score (CES) Survey FAQs

Ask you customers whether your company makes it easy for them to access it and solve their problems. Upon receiving your answers via the online customer effort score (CES) survey, simply take the percentage of customers who agree that their interaction was easy, and deduct the percentage of customers who strongly disagree with that. For example, if 60 customers out of 100 rated you 7, 8, or 10 on the 10-point scale, your CES would be 60.

Calculated from the results of your CES survey, a good customer effort score would be 5 or 6 within a classic 7-point scale. However, you can use other criteria and scales with different average effort needed for customers to get various services or assistance from your employees.
