Introducing Truncate Text

We’ve developed Truncate Text, a new feature designed to help you maintain consistent, high-quality designs even when working with lengthy content. Truncate Text limits the number of rows displayed in a text field, preventing overflow and keeping your designs tidy, clean and professional.

How to use Truncate Text

The feature is available for every project type.

1. Click on any text box to open the left panel.
2. Toggle on the Truncate Text option.
3. Select how many rows you want to display.
4. Hover over truncated text to see the full content.
5. Double-click to edit as usual.

How Truncated Text works with AI Designer

When Visme’s AI Designer generates designs for your uploaded content, the text length will vary. Unfortunately, that variation can break the layout. Truncate Text solves this by automatically limiting the number of rows displayed in a text field and hiding any overflow with “…” This keeps every design clean and consistent, no matter what the AI produces with your uploaded content. To see the entire content, hover over or click the ellipsis to reveal it.

Updated Dashboard

We’ve given your Visme dashboard a fresh makeover designed to help you get started faster and work smarter. On the updated interface, the Create with AI option and the Templates gallery are easier to access. Making it better than ever to create, find, and manage your projects. Right below the new AI are the templates for you to browse, and then, your projects are displayed from newest to oldest.

This month’s release comes fully packed with several new template types:

1. Missing thumbnails: Project thumbnails were not displaying correctly; they now load reliably across all project types.
2. Copy Style: Copying and pasting styles between certain text elements now works consistently.
3. Watermark display: Watermarks were incorrectly appearing in placeholders and photogrids for stock videos. This is now fixed.
4. Copied text: When copying and pasting text, the original text box formatting was being lost.
5. Shared projects: Changes made to a project were not reflected in the Shared view. This is now fixed.
6. Editable PPTX: Illustrations were displaying inconsistently when exporting to editable PPTX, with some objects not rendering correctly. This is now resolved.
7. Slide Library: Custom slide sizes were being saved with the default presentation size instead. They now save correctly.
8. Timeline: The last slide in a timeline was not playing fully when text animations were present. It now plays through completely.
9. Text layout: After refreshing the page and changing the layout style, the text was jumping outside the canvas. It now stays in place as expected.
10. Lists and checkboxes: A conflict between checkboxes and lists on multi-line text has been resolved.
11. Line height: Line height values were not reflected correctly when changed. They now update in real time.
12. Audio captions: Captions were not displaying after changing the audio on an element. They now appear correctly.
