Comments revamp, feature improvements + new QBR, playbook and report templates

In this release, we’ve moved commenting into the editor, so you can leave feedback while you build without switching to preview. Comments now stick to the object you’re talking about, and you can filter and sort them to find what you need. We’ve also made grouped objects easier to reorder on the Animation Timeline and added 24 new templates.

Features

In-editor comments

Now you can leave comments while you build.

Commenting used to live in preview only. Now it’s on the canvas too, and every comment appears in both interfaces. Any note you leave while designing shows up in preview, and replies left in preview shows up on your canvas.

Find the comments icon in the Editor toolbar.

Sticky Comments

Pin feedback to the right objects, elements or text.

Now, when you leave a comment, it stays attached even when what it’s pinned to moves. For a general note, click in an empty area and it will stay there. In comment mode, your cursor becomes a commenting pin, so you can leave feedback without accidentally editing your design.

Works exactly the same way in editor and in preview.

Filter and sort your comments

Find the comments and feedback you need faster.

Filter comments to see all feedback, open comments, your comments or resolved comments. Then sort by date or slide to bring related feedback together and work through it more efficiently.

Improvements

Reorder grouped objects on the timeline

Drag groups the same way you drag single objects.

Drag a group on the Animation Timeline to change when it animates. Groups stay closed in the Objects List as you reorder them, so you won’t have to collapse a pile of nested objects every time you rearrange your animation sequence.

Keep Advanced Settings consistent across copies

Create copies without reapplying your settings.

Duplicate a project or create one from a Branded Template and your Advanced Settings carry over automatically. You won’t need to reapply the same settings to every copy.

QBRs, benchmark reports and playbooks.

Walk a client or your team through last quarter’s numbers, build an internal benchmark report or create one as a lead magnet. Share a repeatable successful process with prospects, clients or team members.

Bug Fixes

  1. PDF and PPTX Import

    Files no longer get stuck on infinite loaders, the editor stays responsive during PDF import, and upload failures are fixed.

  2. MP4 Export

    Exports no longer come out silent, start with black frames, or stall partway through.

  3. PPTX Export

    Shapes, images and Google Maps elements now carry over to exported .pptx files.

  4. Live Editing Stability

    Fixed socket disconnection and sync errors that could drop real-time changes.

  5. Editor Crashes with Groups

    Fixed crashes that happened when working with groups and nested elements.

  6. Editor Crashes Across Objects, Animation and SmartBlocks

    Closed a batch of crashes triggered in various editing scenarios.

  7. Enterprise: Branded Projects and Master Layout

    Projects made from a branded template no longer open as a presentation in the player, and the “Objects in Front” toggle holds after a refresh.

  8. Enterprise: Approval Status

    Workflow approval status stays approved after a page refresh.
