Bulk Drag-and-Drop in My Files, New Hot Key and More
In this release, we introduce several workflow improvements, including the ability to select hidden objects with a hotkey and download specific slides or pages faster. We’ve also added conveniences like a search bar for Branded Templates, auto-detection of corrupted PDFs, and other improvements. Hotkey to Select Hidden Objects
Designing with multiple layers just got easier. You can now quickly select objects hidden behind others by using a simple shortcut: CTRL + Click on Windows or Command + Click on Mac to pick the element you want.
Download Selected Slides or Pages Faster
You can now download specific slides or pages directly from the right-side slides menu. Simply hold CTRL (Windows) or Command (Mac) and select the slides you want, then open the cog menu on one of them. At the bottom of the menu, choose Download Slides, and the download window will appear with your selection already prefilled. Just pick the download format and you’re done!
Search Bar for Branded Templates
Business users on the Pro plan and above can now easily search through their Branded Templates. In the Home section of the Dashboard, below the content types, you’ll find a tab bar with three options: All Templates, Branded Templates, and Favorites. When you’re in the Branded Templates tab, a search bar now appears at the top to help you quickly find what you need.
Note: In All Templates, the search works across all content types. In a specific content type (e.g., Documents), the search is limited to that category.
Auto-Detection of Corrupted PDF Files
When uploading a PDF, Visme will now detect potential issues such as image or formatting errors. If problems are found, you’ll be notified and can choose to proceed with the conversion (knowing the project may have issues) or reupload a corrected file.
New Animation While AI Generates Your Design
We’ve added a loading animation to make the wait more engaging while your project is being generated with AI Designer or Edit with AI. In the coming sprints, we will also add a progress bar to let you know how much of the project is already generated and how much is left to go.
Bulk Drag-and-Drop in Projects
You can now move multiple projects and folders at once using drag-and-drop in Projects area of the dashboard. Simply select the projects you want by hovering over their thumbnails and checking the box in the top-left corner, and drag them over a folder. Once it’s highlighted with a dotted border, drop them in to move everything at once.
More improvements:
- You can now enter decimal values when resizing projects in inches, centimeters, or millimeters.
- Sorting options added to the My Videos section: Sort by Newest, Oldest, A–Z, or Z–A.
- Animations now appear in the Recently Used section of the Graphics menu for quicker access.
- PNG Maker sign-up form can now be closed to return to the Editor
- Bullets in projects exported as PDFs now align correctly
- Templates display inconsistencies and editor opening issues are resolved
- Font effects and layouts changes now persist after page refresh
- Font replacement updates now apply across all text boxes after refresh
