Visme Report Finds 85% of B2B Teams Lose Up to Half Their Working Week Redoing Finished Content
Washington, D.C. – Visme, the AI-powered content platform for business teams, recently released The State of B2B Sales Content 2026, a benchmark report on how B2B teams produce and manage sales content. The report is based on a survey of 164 managers, directors and senior executives responsible for sales enablement content across the US, UK, Canada and Australia.
One of the biggest findings is the amount of time teams spend reworking content they’ve already created. 85% of respondents lose up to half their working week redoing content they already finished. For nearly a third, rework takes more than a quarter of the week.
High volume means more work hours
67% of teams produce more than 20 customer-facing decks each month, and most rebuild them from scratch each time. 75% spend anywhere from an hour to a full day on a single deck.
“Sales teams make dozens of decks a month and start most of them from zero. Every hour spent rebuilding a deck is an hour not spent with a customer. The data points to a workflow problem, and that’s something teams can fix.”
Customers don’t always see the content that was approved
Quality is another big challenge. 53% of respondents have sent outdated, off-brand or incorrect content to a customer in the past month, and most did so more than once. The report also found that in 80% of teams, reps modify the approved deck before it goes out, so the final version can differ from what was signed off.
“Brand and legal approve one version, and the customer often sees another. Teams need a way to keep the approved content intact while still letting reps personalize it.”
What else does the report cover?
The State of B2B Sales Content 2026 examines content volume, production pressure, rework costs, quality control, visibility after content is shared and how teams are approaching AI for sales content.
The report also explores what teams want from the next generation of content tools, including stronger brand controls, reusable content systems and better visibility into how buyers engage with shared materials.
