Visme may offer a referral program that allows eligible users to invite new users to Visme through a unique referral link or referral code (the “Referral Program”). These Referral Program Terms apply to your participation in the Referral Program and form part of the Visme Terms of Service.
By participating in the Referral Program, you agree to these Referral Program Terms, the Visme Terms of Service, the Visme Privacy Policy, and any additional rules, instructions, or requirements made available by Visme in connection with the Referral Program.
- 1. Eligibility
The Referral Program is available only to eligible paying Visme users on Starter, Pro, or Team plans, unless Visme states otherwise.
Free users, Enterprise customers, custom contract customers, agencies, resellers, partners, Visme employees, contractors, affiliates, and any other users or accounts designated by Visme as ineligible are not eligible to participate in the Referral Program unless Visme expressly permits otherwise in writing.
For users associated with Team plans or workspaces, only the billing account owner is eligible to participate, earn, and receive rewards. Individual workspace members who are not the billing owner do not have an independent subscription cost and are ineligible to earn rewards.
Visme may determine eligibility at its sole discretion and may limit, suspend, or revoke access to the Referral Program for any user, account, plan, workspace, region, or category of users at any time.
- 2. Referral Links and Attribution
Eligible users may receive a unique referral link or referral code that can be used to invite others to create a Visme account.
A referral link may be valid for a limited period after it is clicked. Unless Visme states otherwise, referral attribution will be valid for one month (30 days) after the referred user clicks the referral link.
If a referred user clicks more than one referral link before registering, the most recent valid referral link may control attribution.
A referral link may be used by more than one referred user, but each referred user must independently satisfy all requirements for a valid referral.
Visme’s records and systems will determine whether a referral link was used, whether a referred user is attributable to a referrer, and whether a referral qualifies for any discount or reward.
- 3. Referred User Discount
A referred user may receive a 10% discount on their first qualifying paid Visme subscription purchase if they register through a valid referral link and meet the applicable requirements.
The referral discount is available only once per referred user and only for the referred user’s first qualifying paid subscription purchase.
The referral discount may not be combined with other discounts, coupons, promotional offers, credits, or special pricing unless Visme expressly permits otherwise.
The referral discount has no cash value, is not transferable, and may not be redeemed for cash or applied retroactively.
- 4. Valid Referrals
A referral qualifies for a referrer reward only if the referred user is a net-new paying Visme customer and completes a qualifying payment.
A valid referred user must have:
- a unique payment method not previously associated with a paid Visme subscription;
- a new billing profile not previously associated with a paid Visme plan; and
- no prior paid subscription history on any Visme account, unless Visme determines otherwise.
Legacy free users may qualify as referred users if they upgrade to a paid plan using a payment method not previously on file with Visme.
Trial-to-paid conversions may qualify if the referral link was used before the trial began and the referred user uses a unique payment method not previously associated with a paid Visme subscription.
Visme may determine, in its sole discretion, whether a referred user is a valid referred user and whether a purchase is a qualifying purchase.
- 5. Referrer Rewards
If a valid referred user completes a qualifying payment, the referrer may receive a subscription reward applied to the referrer’s own eligible Visme subscription.
The reward is calculated based on the net amount actually received and retained by Visme from the referred user’s qualifying payment, relative to the referrer’s applicable monthly subscription cost.
If the net amount actually received and retained by Visme from the referred user’s qualifying payment is less than the referrer’s applicable monthly subscription cost, the referrer will receive a partial reward converted into bonus subscription days using the following formula:
(net amount actually received and retained by Visme from the referred user’s qualifying payment ÷ referrer’s applicable monthly subscription cost) × 30 days
If the net amount actually received and retained by Visme from the referred user’s qualifying payment is equal to or greater than the referrer’s applicable monthly subscription cost, the referrer may receive one full bonus subscription month.
Partial rewards may accumulate as bonus days. When accumulated bonus days reach 30 days, they may automatically convert into one bonus subscription month.
If the referred user’s qualifying payment and the referrer’s subscription are denominated in different currencies, Visme will calculate the applicable reward ratio using its internal standard exchange rates in effect at the time of the qualifying transaction. Visme’s currency conversion and reward calculation records will be final, except where prohibited by applicable law.
The value of a referrer reward is not fixed and may vary depending on the referred user’s selected plan, billing interval, payment amount, discounts, refunds, chargebacks, reversals, taxes, fees, and other amounts not retained by Visme.
- 6. Reward Hold Period and Application
All referrer rewards are subject to a 30-day hold period before activation.
During the hold period, Visme may review the referral, the referred user’s payment, refund status, chargeback status, account information, billing information, and other relevant signals to determine whether the referral qualifies.
Approved rewards may be applied to extend the referrer’s current subscription term, applied at the referrer’s next billing cycle, or applied in another manner determined by Visme’s billing systems.
Rewards are not granted immediately upon payment and may remain pending, reduced, reversed, denied, or delayed if Visme determines that additional review is required.
Visme reserves the right to void any pending rewards if the referrer cancels, terminates, or fails to maintain an eligible paid subscription before the applicable hold period concludes, unless Visme determines otherwise.
If the referrer’s subscription is inactive when a reward is approved, Visme may start a new subscription period for the referrer using the approved reward or apply the reward in another manner determined by Visme.
- 7. Refunds, Chargebacks, Fraud Review, and Reversals
If a referred user’s payment is refunded, reversed, charged back, disputed, cancelled, or otherwise invalidated, Visme may deny, reduce, reverse, or remove any related referrer reward.
Visme may also reverse any reward already issued if fraud, abuse, manipulation, self-referral, payment irregularity, or other disqualifying conduct is identified within 60 days after the reward is issued.
Visme reserves the right to recoup, offset, or adjust rewards already applied to a billing cycle if Visme determines that the reward was granted in error or resulted from a disqualified referral.
- 8. Reward Cap
A referrer may accumulate a maximum of 12 months of referral rewards during the lifetime of their participation in the Referral Program.
Once a referrer reaches the 12-month lifetime reward cap, no further referral rewards will be issued to that referrer, even if additional referred users register or make qualifying purchases.
Rewards above the applicable cap will have no cash value and will not be converted into account credit, refunds, payments, or other benefits.
- 9. No Self-Referrals or Related-Account Referrals
Self-referrals are prohibited.
A referral may be disqualified if Visme determines that the referrer and referred user are the same person, under common control, or otherwise related in a manner that suggests abuse, manipulation, or an attempt to circumvent the Referral Program rules.
Disqualifying signals may include, without limitation, matches or connections involving:
- email address;
- IP address;
- payment method, card, billing name, PayPal account, or other payment identity;
- billing address;
- cookies, session data, device identifiers, or device fingerprinting signals;
- workspace, account, organization, or administrative control;
- other technical, billing, account, or behavioral indicators identified by Visme.
A payment method match may be treated as a primary disqualifying factor. (Note: Shared corporate email domains are generally permitted for B2B referrals unless other fraud signals are present).
- 10. Abuse, Manipulation, and Enforcement Rights
Visme may withhold, reduce, reverse, revoke, or permanently remove any referral discount, bonus day, bonus month, or other reward if Visme suspects or determines abuse, fraud, manipulation, self-referral, payment irregularity, technical circumvention, or other conduct inconsistent with the purpose of the Referral Program.
Visme may immediately suspend or terminate any user’s participation in the Referral Program without prior notice.
Visme may manually review accounts or referrals that show unusual referral volume, clustered signups, payment method overlap, repeated failed payments, suspicious upgrade patterns, or other abuse indicators.
Visme’s determinations regarding eligibility, attribution, reward calculation, fraud, abuse, and enforcement are final and binding, except where prohibited by applicable law.
- 11. Sharing Referral Links and Disclosure
Referral links may be shared only in a lawful, truthful, non-misleading, and non-spam manner.
When sharing a referral link, the referrer must clearly disclose that they may receive a Visme subscription reward or other benefit if the recipient makes a qualifying purchase through the referral link.
Referrers may not:
- send spam or unsolicited commercial messages;
- use bots, automated systems, scripts, fake accounts, or mass posting tools;
- misrepresent their relationship with Visme;
- suggest that they are employed by, endorsed by, or authorized to act on behalf of Visme;
- make false, misleading, or unsubstantiated claims about Visme, its pricing, discounts, features, or services;
- post referral links on coupon sites, deal sites, or similar platforms unless Visme expressly permits it;
- run paid ads, paid search campaigns, or trademark bidding campaigns using Visme names, marks, or referral links unless Visme expressly permits it;
- hide or fail to disclose the referral benefit;
- use the Referral Program in any way that violates applicable law, platform rules, or Visme policies.
Visme may require removal of any referral link, post, message, advertisement, or content that Visme determines is misleading, inappropriate, non-compliant, or inconsistent with the purpose of the Referral Program.
- 12. Rewards Tab and Referred User Visibility
Visme may provide a referral dashboard, rewards tab, or similar feature that allows referrers to view limited information about referral activity.
To protect user privacy, the Rewards tab will show only limited referral status information (such as “registered,” “qualifying purchase completed,” “reward pending,” “reward approved,” or “not eligible”).
Visme explicitly will not display the referred user’s payment amount, specific plan type or tier, billing interval, invoices, subscription renewal dates, or other sensitive account-level information to the referrer.
- 13. No Cash Value; Non-Transferability
Referral discounts and referrer rewards have no cash value.
Rewards may not be sold, transferred, assigned, withdrawn, exchanged for cash, applied to another user’s account, or used for any purpose other than the eligible referrer’s own Visme subscription.
Rewards are promotional in nature and do not create any right to payment, refund, commission, compensation, or ownership interest.
Participation in the Referral Program does not create any employment, agency, partnership, reseller, broker, representative, affiliate, or fiduciary relationship between the referrer and Visme.
- 14. Taxes
Referrers are solely responsible for any taxes, duties, reporting obligations, or other governmental charges that may arise from participation in the Referral Program or receipt of any reward.
Visme may withhold, report, or collect information related to rewards where required by applicable law.
- 15. Program Changes, Suspension, and Termination
Visme may modify, suspend, restrict, or terminate the Referral Program at any time.
Visme may modify the reward formula, payment thresholds, eligible plans, discount amounts, reward caps, hold periods, attribution rules, anti-fraud rules, or any other aspect of the Referral Program.
Visme may suspend or terminate the Referral Program immediately in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, technical issues, legal risk, operational concerns, or circumstances outside Visme’s control.
If the Referral Program is modified, suspended, or terminated, Visme may determine, in its discretion, whether accumulated but unused rewards will be honored, adjusted, converted, expired, or otherwise handled, except where prohibited by applicable law.
- 16. Conflict with Other Materials
If there is any conflict between these Referral Program Terms and any marketing materials, in-product messages, help center articles, emails, UI copy, promotional descriptions, or other communications about the Referral Program, these Referral Program Terms will control.
- 17. Privacy
Visme may process referral-related information to operate, administer, monitor, and protect the Referral Program, including for referral attribution, eligibility verification, reward calculation, fraud prevention, abuse detection, billing, audit, and compliance purposes.
Such processing may include account information, referral link activity, signup information, payment-related identifiers, billing information, technical information, device or browser information, usage signals, and other information reasonably necessary to administer and protect the Referral Program.
Visme may also display limited referral-status information to referrers through a referral dashboard, rewards tab, or similar feature, as described in the Referral Program interface and the Visme Privacy Policy.
Visme’s processing of personal information in connection with the Referral Program is subject to the Visme Privacy Policy. Visme may update its Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and related notices to describe referral tracking, anti-fraud processing, and any information shown in referral dashboards or rewards interfaces.
